 Let Summer officially begin!

We made it home from our camping trip, and really enjoyed the opportunity to be together. Some people have had a hard time with the 2020 stuck at home year, but I think it has been so wonderful for my little family. Lincoln found this old violin, and let Ezra take a try.

We went on a little hike up Neff's Canyon. There was no destination that we knew of.  Claire joined the fun and took us on a wild adventure off of any and all trails.

We went to a park up in Park City with a little dirt pump track. We all had fun riding around and enjoyed the bonus playground.

I haven't been able to run in the mornings like I wish I could, so I've been taking weekly hikes to the top of Jack's Mountain. It's a killer one hour, two mile hike.

We've also had fun at the bike jumps just a couple miles away from our house. It's a steep two miles uphill to get there but then the boys play for a couple hours. Sometimes on bikes, and sometimes off bikes. Thomas is always brave initially and after his first fall, he resorts to running and jumping on the jumps.

Ezra doesn't seem to mind that he doesn't have a bike, he also enjoys running around in the dirt.

My daily saving grace has been the lunches served at the high school. It makes us get out of the house, and the the boys can bike and play around!

Another trip up to Jack's Mountain. I love that I'm only a five minute drive away from this trailhead. How did it take me six years to know it?

We're looking at getting a bigger van. We need a way to haul our stuff! Here is a van our friends have. Look at all that space!

While we went to Ogden to see this van...and the Jensen's, we just had to stop by and say hello to our favorite neighbors Bev and Phil. This was the only picture I took of them while we were there. I really miss having this two next to us!

We have a state park pass this year. We're trying really hard to get all we can out of it! So, we decided to venure to Scofield State Park and take Gram Graham with us to celebrate her 75th birthday. Sometimes we remember to take a picture by the sign on our way in...not this time.

Of all of the parks we've been to, the boys say this is one of their favorites. Which surpised me because it was such a rocky beach. But they had fun playing on the rocks, and feeding the squirels, and watching the cool pelicans.

The water was cold, but it was "swim a lap day" So Lincoln braved the cold and did a little swimming. The other boys braved it by kayaking a lap.

Ezra had fun throwing rocks into the lake...I think he could do this for days and it still wouldn't get old.

Judy brought her shade tent, and we were all glad she did!

We went on a little hike for FHE one night and Dean gave a lesson at the top. This was up Emigration Canyon on a hike without a name.

Our good friends Wade and Merri Bailey moved out of our ward. After living in a home for over 30 years, they had some fun toys that they gave to us. NEW TOYS are fund for Days and Hours!!! Miss you Bailey's

We went to City Creek with the Duncans and the kids did an excellent job PLAYING! Grass, fountains, hikes up steep cliffs, and rivers were all part of the fun! Unfortunately, Julie thought it was a good idea to ruin the day and inform me that they are planning on moving too. I don't like it when my friends decide to leave me!

We made it to the top of this mountain. Lincoln was pretty proud of his photo bomb!

Beginning of June is always fun at the dentist. Lincoln was informed that he has his first cavity. Luckily it's one of his baby teeth and will just fall out in the next year or two.

More City Creek Fun!

Lincoln is doing his best to get me out on our bikes. It's always fun to go when we make it happen! We just need a bike rack!

To keep up on writing the Summer, Lincoln has been writing letters to friends and family. His cousin Molly has been at a boarding school this past year and has been a great pen pal.

One of the games the kids have been playing is fishing for poop! Not sure why or how this is fun, but they've gotten it out time and again.

Look how fun this sandbox is! It is entertaining kids from 2 to 12. They are ALL Playing and ALL loving it!

They build little tunnels and giant cities and work together the whole time!

They bury each other and dig and dig and smile and play!

And Play, and Play! Then I turn my head for a couple of hours...and they decide to fill the entire box up with...

water. The sandbox has suddenly turned into a mud pit...They had so much fun creating it, but what a mess! I'm wrtiing this over two months later, and it has still not fully dried out from that "fun" idea.

And this is why we haven't been back to Jordanelle since. It's convenient, and has a great beach, and where in the world did all of these people come from! Social Distancing is not a thing here.

My boys are growing up so fast! Oliver and Ezra are good little buddies and by some miracle, both got the pj's on first!

One of Ezra's favorite "tricks" is saying "ECHO" into anything that is round. Yes, even the vacuum hose. Dryer vent, muffler, tunnel, water spout, you name it!

Oh, Ezra's so nice and cozy! That's one of his favorite words.
