The Graham Family: Salt Lake City, Here we come...Here we are!

We have officially lived in Salt Lake for a full month! What an adventure and mostly fun adventure to share with my three boys. It is so nice to have Dean home earlier and leave for work earlier even when he walks to work! Lincoln and Oliver are being forced to become really good friends because there aren't many others around for them to play with. We are each other worlds right now. I dropped Lincoln off to joy-school last Tuesday. There are only six kids in the class and 3 of them were boys in his nursery class that we had park dates with regularly. It was his first week that I wasn't the teacher. As I left he started to cry. It wasn't until and hour later that I realized he hasn't had to interact with any kids without me for quite sometime. He was probably more sad that Oliver was leaving with me. In short, it has been good for us to have so much time together, yet these kids probably need some additional social interaction.

Well here is a long list of pictures of our first month in Salt Lake. They are from most recent to most distant.

We decided to take the boys to the Utah game with us last night because we couldn't think of a (free) babysitter who would want them for 5 hours. It turned out to be a very rainy, cold and windy game. They were most happy during the 2nd quarter in the heated stairwell. Dean and I could see the scoreboard from the window, so we saw if anyone scored, but it was hard to justify the price of the ticket from this angle.

We went to a park and Lincoln filled up with rocks. He will soon recover from my request to leave them at the park.

We made some cookies in an effort to meet some neighbors. It worked, we were able to share some sugar and get our close neighbors names. Now if I can only remember them.

Lincoln is quite the helper when it's time to bake. Especially when it comes to eating the goods.

And playing in the flour.

We love having Sugarhouse park so close. These ducks are different than other ducks we've met. They don't attack the kids, it was actually fun to feed them!

For Dean's birthday we went to the state fair.

Both the kids loved it, but Oliver liked the animals even more than Lincoln this year.

And we had to eat some cake!

We've been able to spend a little time with Macy and Gavin last month. It is so fun to watch Lincoln play with his cousins!

I had to document our 1st (little) project on our house. Dean spends 2 hours most nights digging out the dirt room front he basement. This is only about half the load. If anyone wants some dirt, we'll pay you to take it from us! ;-)

Another trip to Sugar House Park. This time we had a friend Cooper come along. He's 5 days younger than Oliver. They'll be great friends!

And another walk to Sugar House Park. Lincoln loves to smell the flowers on our walks. Dean made his night by pulling a giant sunflower for him. (sometimes we'll be driving in the car and he see's flowers. He asks me if we can stop and smell them.)

The Sprague Library is walking distance.

Lincoln's recent favorite game is playing "bear" he growls and scowls and tries to scare people around him. Sometimes he recruits other bears.

We don't care about manners in our house. As long as these little boys get their calories somehow.

A walk with cousins to the park. The freeway bridge is always fun to walk over.

Lincoln looks up to Carson (and all of his older cousins) He just wanted to hold Carson's hand on the walk to the park.

Daddy's hand is another favorite. I don't blame him.

Somehow I was talked into getting this Thomas Bubble machine. It was fun for a day. But really bubbles are always fun!

Lincoln's joy-school class. This is part of the 3 minutes they were actually all seated in the same place.

For Labor Day, my mom treated us to a night at Liberty Park. There were all the rides kids could want, a boat ride and the some delicious KFC for dinner. It was a toddler paradise!

We even got paddle boats.

Sometimes they like to share for a minute or two.

Trying to get Cooper and Oliver to stand next to each other for a picture was harder than we expected.

Lincoln found the perfect climbing tree at the park. Right next to the playground.
Grandma Graham came over for a day to help with the kids and unpacking. We took a break and went to the park so she could push Oliver in the swing.
