Our good friend sister Nancy Day stopped by with fresh grape juice to share. 

Jodi and I have found a way to get together when the world tells us we can't. We've been walking on Saturday or Sunday mornings up City Creek. It is so refreshing for so many reasons. Not to mention beautiful! Where has this canyon been hiding out anyway? 

I happened upon this bike park in the Avenues. I rode around for a bit, then decided the boys needed to enjoy. And enjoy they did! It's so fun to have big kids.

We tried to go hiking up Red Butte trail but it started to pour, so the boys got out and danced in the rain!

We met up with Ashley Long and her family and Holly and her kids. After an hour at the playground, the kids finally played together. It was fun watching them play soccer together.

September came and so did school. It sure looked different than any other year. Now that we're four months into this, it's fun to go back to what the first week looked like. We've learned quite a bit during this time.

I watched Charlie Gurr for a few days a week in September and October. It was nice to have a playmate for Ezra.

Lincoln earned some money by hosting a "bike club" for little kids. They came once a week for an hour. He did a craft with them, did a biking activity, then let them play in the sand box.

With Kyle's family living in Highland, we took a day to play with the Poll's. They gave us the royal spa treatment.

Julie invited a few girls to dinner and a sleepover at her Solitude Condo. We went for a hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon the next morning and came across a bunch of moose.

Ezra goes through phases. In September Ezra's phase is the wagon. Hands off, EVERYONE. It's just for Ezra.

Marissa brought her kids up for a few days. It was Fall Break and the whole state was out of school. So we couldn't go to the canyon because of the crowds. So we went to the Great Salt Lake and had the whole place to ourselves. It was pretty cold, but we had fun!

I'm going to introduce you to Oliver. Oliver is seven years old. Oliver is kind and thoughtful and if you ever have something you need Oliver to do. Be sure not to leave a book between Oliver and his final destination. The book will win 100% of the time. I love that kid.

Another walk with my sister!

We got to go climbing a few times this summer. Lincoln was so excited to learn how to belay that he made his own belay station in our storage room.

The windstorm. Took part of our tree. The boys were so sad when Dean took it all the way down.

Because school started two weeks late for these boys, we played hard. A day of rock climbing and bike parking. These boys don't know how good they have it!

We climbed up in Draper with the Hilterbrands. All of the boys are getting pretty good at climbing. In their own ways.

The day of the wind storm, we went through the neighborhood and climbed trees in a new way.

Sometimes I just don't get to Ezra right away. Oliver found a way to entertain while Ezra waited for me to come get him.

We went to the International Peace Gardens with Gram Graham. Another fun adventure.

And a quick camping trip to Smith and Morehouse. The boys didn't know, but my mom and Hudson and Charlotte met us up there. It was a fun surprise and a really fun trip!

We hiked Adam's Canyon with the Blackhursts. It was an activity I was waiting all summer to take the boys on, but wanted to wait for the crowds to die down. So we went while we were on our extended summer vacation and had the whole place to ourselves.

 I love these adventurous boys!
