We started the month off with an AMAZING camping trip in Zion's National Park. I took the boys, and Dean took a day off work to work on the basement. Jodi was the big event organizer and everything was awesome! I was a little nervous about taking all 3 boys without Dean, but there was plenty of help! Jodi's friend Wendy came and was a lifesaver. Jodi's neighbor Lexus and friend Avery were also great with taking turns with Thomas! We pretty much just played and enjoyed every minute!
The kids loved telling stories and playing fortunately, unfortunately around the campfire.
Thomas spent a lot of time in his stroller. This table was the perfect height for him!
Good morning! ...Cold morning. The sun didn't hit our campsite until around 10:00, and it was pretty cold until then. The second morning the kids were better at staying in their sleeping bags longer.
Carson caught a lizard and Lincoln got the guts to touch it...only for 1/2 a second. But he touched it!
The weather was perfect for hiking. ALL the kids were amazing hikers!
On the way to Emerald Pools, Oliver and Thomas fell asleep on the shuttle. So we just stayed on the shuttle for an extra hour while they slept. Then we went on a little hike just the 3 of us.
Oliver got to throw plenty of rocks into the water!
And this wild turkey gobbled right in front of us

It's no wonder Oliver didn't realize it was morning.
Thomas was spoiled with squeezy food all weekend.
This is one fun group of kids!
I have the best sister. Really, I do.
Oh, and the most amazing 3 little boys. They are such good campers!
And they know how to have fun in the mountains.
And climb walls.
The boys "earned" a field trip. We went to the Tracy Aviary and loved it. Lincoln loves to learn, about most anything. SO MANY QUESTIONS. And most of the time I don't have answers. It was nice to have a bunch of signs to read to him.

We went with the McKnight's. All 6 boys got along really well.
And Thomas made it to 11 months. He started army crawling on his 11 month birthday!
It seems like from 11 to 12 months this kid has learned and grown up so much.
Another field trip to downtown. We may never get enough of these trips. There is so much to fill our time. This time temple square had plenty to offer. Especially flowers!
A trip to the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building was fun!
But the top of the Church Office Building would have been better...
Trips to the top were closed, but we learned about this cool painting instead.
And we got to play in the fountains, and touch the temple while we were at it.
Another great way to get the kids out while Dean works on the house. Lagoon! Kids absolutely loved it. What a great Christmas present from my parents. Especially when they come and put the kids on and off the rides!
Thomas has not been the "smiley" baby in the family. But when he wants to be happy, he knows how to give a pretty big grin! He sure knows how to make me smile, and his brothers know how to get him laughing pretty hard.
Walks to Sugarhouse park and beyond are some of our favorite family outings. Now that Lincoln can ride his bike, we have to keep up with him. And sometimes he gets a break in the wagon.
Boys are growing up! Time for new car seats. No more infant carrier for Thomas, and Lincoln gets spoiled again with something new.
We went to see Carson play in his baseball game. The boys really liked it!
Thomas loves to be standing! Especially with my fingers or Dean's fingers. He's always reaching for them. He stands with the support of furniture, but then he gets stuck. He's still working on getting down. He's even starting to "Cruise" a bit.
The Polls tried celebrating my Dad's birthday in a new fun way. They rode the Front runner from Farmington to Downtown where we met them. Then took tracks to the Gateway. It was a fun idea...though things didn't go as we envisioned. The best part about the Polls, everyone knows how to roll with anything. So even though it was pouring rain, the corn dog shop didn't sell corn dogs and the main/only event of the entire trip was to eat chicken nuggets at the golden arches, just to run with all the kids in the pouring rain a mile (with an extra lap around gateway) back to the train station to get back to the Front runner, everyone still had a really fun time!
This grandpa knows how to make his grandkids smile! Happy Birthday Dad!
After 2 attempts to get Thomas into the Urologist, he was finally healthy enough! I dreaded so many things about this day, but he did great. Even the part of not eating all morning for his 1:15 surgery time.
He came out of surgery much less happy.
But the next day, he was back to his old self again. Eating, smiling, babbling, you name it!
And would you know it, he even started to crawl. Just one week before his 1st birthday!
After 2 skipped weeks, we got to go on another "field trip" This time we went bowling. The boys loved it!!! The smallest balls this bowling alley had were 8 lb. balls. But they each carried their balls up to the ramp each time for 1 and a half games.
The next day, we needed to get out again, so we headed back downtown. This time we got to see the Conference Center. They took us to the roof- and we loved it!
Then to the Church History Museum. It was a hit, just like everywhere we go downtown!
Mothers day is this weekend. As I reflect on that responsibility to be a mother, I am overwhelmed with joy. Though it's the hardest thing I've ever done, I have these three awesome kids who trust me with their world! We spend SOOO much time together and I couldn't be more blessed to have these little bodies with giant spirits entrusted in me. I love spending time with them and exploring downtown, bowling allies, national parks, and our backyard together. Tonight we had a dance party and sang "Cars" and "Frozen" songs at the top of our lungs, and I think I had more fun than they did. I am so blessed!
