Oh Boy, Get ready for the trip of a lifetime! We had such a fun trip to Idaho, Oregon, and California! We went with three other families. All with kids ages 3 to 14. It felt like we fit right in! When I imported these pictures, they were put in backward, so the first shall be last and the last shall be first.
This was our last day at the beach. Only our family came here to watch the sun go down. It's funny we waited a long time for the sun to go down over the ocean, then it went down behind the pier. Oliver and Thomas loved to pose for the camera.
This was Pebble Beach. There were a bunch of tiny rocks we got to search for in the sand.
On this last night, we got a special treat to eat at the beach. Nothing like some ice cream on a cold beach.

Oliver wasn't afraid of a little cold water. He continually, just rolled up his jacket and his pants, and found all kinds of fun things in the ocean.

Near our campsite, there was a fun hike called Milcreek with this fun river. Dave was good at entertaining the four little boys as they splashed him.
The rope swing was a hit. We went back to Milcreek in swimsuits ready to try the swing out. I was impressed that my three oldest boys all did the swing without hesitation. Once I did it, I was even more impressed because the water was really cold!
Another beach, another Oliver wearing pants and but wading waste deep. The kids caught a bunch of crabs at this beach.
There was a river going by our campsite. Oliver isn't afraid of getting his feet wet!
Once swimsuits were put on, all the boys got a little wet.

With just our little family, we found a piece of the forest to explore. There was another perfect water hole for skipping stones.
This was a fun tree to climb in. This challenged everyone's climbing skills
These groves had such amazing trees to explore. I think we could have spent days exploring just this grove.
Another day, another beach. Oliver had no problem getting his hands and feet dirty to explore!
We had a day without our friends as they had tickets to Fern Canyon, so we explored a new beach Endert Beach with just the Grahams. It had a fun hike down, with berries along the way, then amazing smooth sand with countless perfect skipping rocks. Then we got to the tide pool! It was another good one, but by the time we got there, the tide was coming in. But we saw a number of awesome starfish and other creatures!
This beach had a fun little rock that formed an arch. There was a lady that was clearly in deep thought and maybe having a hard time. Ezra climbed up and just sat next to her. In his mother's opinion, it was adorable.
With the air so cold, The water was always calling and inviting us to play in it. Even with the air so cold, it was hard to avoid the fun waves. The boys always just started by getting their toes wet, but then couldn't resist the waves and always got uncomfortably wet.
This is the same rock on Endert Beach where Ezra found his lady friend. This is Thomas on top!
This is the river next to our campsite. There was a grove of trees we hiked through and ended on the other side of the river.
Hiking through these groves had endless adventures! This is every kid's paradise!

We had a couple of adventures to Milcreek another great place to skip some stones as well as jump into the cold water.
This is the perfect hiking crew! Hiking with friends is the perfect cure for going a long way!

This tree had space for plenty of space for a party inside. And Dean doesn't ever say no to a party.

This is a fun bunch of kids. It was amazing to go on a trip with so many like-minded families!
This tidepool had hundreds of crabs. It took hours for Lincoln to get enough courage to hold one. Finally, as we were leaving, HE DID IT!

I love this family! We stopped for a quick picture along the coast on our way to the final campsite in the redwoods.
THE OCEAN! Our first stop at the ocean after several days in Oregon and hours in the car trying to get to California
We stopped for a family picture, and Ezra had a different way of getting out of the van. Take note of him in the front seat...upside-down.
In Oregon, we stopped at on of the coolest biking trails I've ever been on. It was a real forest. Even though it was the middle of the day, it was dark in the forest!
Oliver and Jude were like two peas in a pod. They were great bikers!
And this trip was splattered with amazing flowers!

This tidepool was huge! It was the first one we came to and there was plenty to explore. Lincoln was looking on in awe!

Me and Dean. Our first beach of the trip. It was very chili!
On our way, or a bit out of the way, from Crater Lake to our destination in Coos Bay, we found a climbing wall. It took us a few hours to find, and then we couldn't find a route that we felt confident in doing. Because we had taken so much time looking, Holly set up half a route just so we could take turns on the wall. This is Landon.

What's a road trip without movies? Ezra is loving this trip!
Ezra climbed like a champ! I wish I could take the boys up more often, they always do so well, once we're there.

When we were looking for this climbing wall, we went an hour past the turnoff on a dirt road that led us to nowhere. There was only minor damage done to each van, but we decided enough was enough and we stopped for lunch for a picnic in the middle of the road.
Kings don't eat better! Three families made it this far, and I appreciate how the kids are almost always down for whatever adventure happens.

Dave was always prepared with a camping chair. no matter where we stopped. There's some wisdom to packing camping chairs on top.
Our last night at Crater Lake. Kids are all warming up to each other, and the campfire was a must have for at least Oliver. What's a 10 day camping trip without s'mores?

On our first Sunday, we hiked to this beautiful waterfall in Crater Lake. It was about an hour away, and the perfect hike for our crew.
Almost my whole family at Crater Lake. After a long drive, we finally made it to the lookout. It was windy, and cold, but beautiful!
Day one of our trip we drove to Boise and played at Roaring Springs all day long. This place was perfect for all ages. Ezra could have played in the kids area the entire day. And he did for most of the day.
