November started off with an awesome trip! How much fun can one family have in Las Vegas in 24 hours? Well, we maxed out on the fun! Here's the story. My mom travels every week for work. Sometimes she'll call on her way home from somewhere and the boys love to talk to her on the phone. One day Lincoln was asking her about flying and airports etc. because Lincoln has so many questions about everything. They ended their conversation with my mom telling Lincoln that someday they will go on a plane ride together. In Lincoln's mind someday was Sunday and that was going to happen very soon. I warned my mom just so she could explain that we will go on a airplane all together at some future time. Instead of explaining this to Lincoln, she decided to use her many flight miles, rental car miles and hotel nights to sponsor a trip for my family and Jodi's family to fly on an airplane. Because the purpose of this trip was to "fly" the destination was not important. So we headed to Vegas so Lincoln could learn what it was like to "fly". Yes he is spoiled And this weekend we were all very spoiled as we did everything Las Vegas has to offer a bunch of kids and their parents and grandparents.
The airport was the first adventure. With front row seats to big airplanes coming and going as we waited to board our plane.
My mom had everything planned out to the max. Because she gets priority seating she was first in line and got on to save seats for everyone. Lincoln had a great seat next to Grandpa and a window. Oliver got to sit next to Grandma. And I got to sit next to Dean and Thomas. These are some excited faces. Lucky for us, there was "a mechanical issue" on the airplane and we got to sit in these seats for and extra hour before we took off.
We finally made it to the Vegas Airport.
And we got to ride on a train! The train took us to the bus stop that took us to the rental car lot. The rental car lot was another adventure herding cats kids while we waited for a 15 passenger van.
Then the fun really began! We stopped at Denny's for some grub and headed up to Red Rock for some Vegas hiking.
We had fun, but it got cold quick.
Oliver's highlight of the trip could have been going "wing wong" with Grandma and grandpa.
Oliver was fun to have on the trip. He had a couple moments where he was a star "2 year old" and had it his way or the highway.
We had to see the fountains at the Billagio. Kids loved it!
We had some fun looking through the cool displays at some casinos and called it a night. Look at all those smiles!
Hour 18 we found a fun Children's Museum. It was a very slow day and the kids had plenty to do, see and explore. Lincoln took his time with the Egyptian king display.
Oliver and Thomas were brave listening to the dinosaur roar!
All the kids played with these blocks for at least an hour.
Hour 22-After the children's museum we went to an outdoor mall with a fun park in the middle.
And that was that. Back on the shuttle to the airport. Mostly smiles still.
We made it to the airport with plenty of time to kill. The only problem was there was a Utah game going on. All the adults wanted to watch the game. So my mom volunteered to watch all 5 totally exhausted kids. Lucky for everyone we found a friend who was returning home and was great with ALL of the kids.
The airplane ride home was less memorable for Oliver.
Waiting for the shuttle at the airport put Oliver over the edge. Poor kid was so tired. But we did it. We got to go on an airplane! The boys still talk about when we went on an airplane. Thanks mom for such a fun 24 hours in Las Vegas!
Thomas turned 6 months, so it was finally time to try some solid food. Lincoln was very anxious to be the first to feed him. Thomas wasn't too excited about this new adventure and Lincoln was very confused. It took several weeks to get Thomas to eat from a spoon. Now he pounds his food!
The kids were missing warm weather and picnics. So we still had a picnic.
When Thomas decides to smile, my heart melts! Love this baby boy!
It was time to drop the training wheels. Dean was working on the basement while the younger two boys napped, so Lincoln and I slipped over to the church parking lot. He caught on so much faster than I thought he would.
Gram Graham is so good at reading to these boys. The LOVE it when she reads to them!
Oliver 2 1/2 and Lincoln 4 1/2. These two boys play so well together! I love watching them work together and play together.
It took a lot of coercing to get Lincoln to wear a bow tie. Just one Sunday so I could take a picture.
We had some fun play dates with Khari in November. She's so fun to have around. This princess has no problem playing cars with the boys.
Occasionally Oliver has an urge to hold Thomas. It's nice that he doesn't ever want to do it for more than 10 seconds.
And our next trip. Thanksgiving in St. George. Abby had a soccer tournament down South so Ryan's family hosted us in a nice home for the weekend. We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Chuck-A-Rama. It wasn't a traditional Thanksgiving, but it was memorable!
The complex had a stocked pool. Though we never saw any fish. These boys got to throw the line in a few times. I asked Dean for one try at casting. And I caught the weeds and broke the line. Turns our, I'm not good at fishing.

We made it to Dixie Rock for some quick exploring. Lincoln was ready to hike, and Oliver was ready to be done.
We also made it back to the Children's museum. It's becoming a tradition.
And we made it back just in time to set up a Christmas Tree!
